  • 1 cup oat milk (or any other plant-based milk)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Here are some substitute ingredients you can use for the Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Smoothie:

  • 1 Vitamix blender


  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • ¼ cup cashews
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate (melted)
  • 1 cup oat milk (or any other plant-based milk)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop of protein powder
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Whipped Cream

  • 1 can (14 ounces) full-fat coconut milk, chilled overnight
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar or maple syrup (adjust sweetness to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  • Peel the banana and break it into chunks.
  • In a blender, combine the banana chunks, almond butter, cashews, oat milk, maple syrup (if using), protein powder, and vanilla extract.
  • Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Add the ice cubes to the blender and continue blending until the smoothie is thick and frosty.
  • Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more maple syrup.
  • Once the desired consistency and taste are achieved, pour the smoothie into a glass.
  • If desired, chill your glass and add dark chocolate along the sides in the inside of the glass. Garnish with melted chocolate, whipped cream. .

  • Place the can of coconut milk in the refrigerator overnight. This allows the coconut cream to separate from the liquid.
  • Carefully open the can of chilled coconut milk, being careful not to shake it. Scoop out the solid coconut cream that has risen to the top and transfer it to a mixing bowl. Save the remaining liquid for other recipes like smoothies.
  • Using an electric mixer or a whisk, beat the coconut cream on medium-high speed until it becomes creamy and starts to thicken. This process may take a few minutes.
  • Add the powdered sugar or maple syrup and vanilla extract to the bowl. Continue to whip the mixture until it reaches a fluffy, whipped cream consistency.
  • Taste the whipped cream and adjust the sweetness and vanilla flavor according to your preference.
