Ingredients
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Toppings: sliced fresh strawberries, blueberries, granola, and/or shredded coconut

There are a number of substitutes you can use in this recipe, depending on your dietary preferences and what you have available in your pantry. Here are a few ideas:
- Frozen fruit: If you don’t have mixed berries on hand, you can use any frozen fruit you like, such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or mango.
- Milk: If you don’t have almond milk, you can use any milk or milk substitute you prefer, such as soy milk, coconut milk, or oat milk.
- Chia seeds: If you don’t have chia seeds, you can substitute them with flax seeds, hemp seeds, or even ground oats. The texture may be slightly different, but it will still work well.

BERRY SMOOTHIE CHIA JAR
Ingredients
- ½ cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 banana, sliced
- ½ cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Toppings: sliced fresh strawberries, blueberries, granola, and/or shredded coconut
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the frozen mixed berries, sliced banana, almond milk, and honey (if using). Blend until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the chia seeds and 1/2 cup of water. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chia seeds have absorbed the water and the mixture has thickened to a gel-like consistency.
- Pour the berry smoothie into a jar, leaving some space at the top.
- Spoon the chia seed mixture on top of the smoothie.
- Add your favorite toppings, such as sliced fresh strawberries, blueberries, granola, and/or shredded coconut.
- Seal the jar and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, give the jar a good shake to mix everything together.
