Your gluten free & dairy free baked donuts.
The taste of gluten free chai-spiced donuts is the perfect warm, comforting flavour for any winter day. With a blend of spices such as cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg the combination of spices with almond flour creates a fragrant and flavourful donut. The nutty flavour of almonds is a nice depth of flavour that calls for a well balanced tasty treat.
Ingredients
Donut:
- 2 cup of almond flour
- 1/4 cup of tapioca flour
- 1 1/2 baking powder
- 1/4 cup of coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup of maple sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of coconut milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of all spice
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
For the Chai Spice Glaze (See picture below)
- 1 cup of confectioner sugar
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 2 tbsp of chai tea – brewed

Why I love baked gluten free donuts: They are made by mixing the ingredients together and then baking them in the oven. Simple. Plus baked donuts are also easier because they don’t require any special equipment like a deep fryer. I also love how lighter, fluffy, cake- like they tend to be, rather than fried donuts. They are also considered to be a healthier alternative so go ahead and indulge!
